When I first met Jade, she had already signed with a wedding photographer for her Chesapeake Beach wedding, but her package did not include an engagement session so she asked me to come to Annapolis to do some waterfront engagement portraits for her! I was so excited because I didn't have many photos in Annapolis and was glad to have the session for my portfolio. You can see that Annapolis engagement session HERE! I was thrilled when she contacted me last month and asked me to come out and document her getting ready process because her wedding photographer was not covering that portion of her day. It was a rocky start when my car broke down on the way to North Beach! I was super stressed that I would not make it in time, but I was able to switch cars with my husband and get there just in time! One thing I love about Jade is her always positive attitude and that she always has a smile on her face. She was very understanding and grateful I had allowed myself an extra twenty minutes to get there just in case of an emergency! The little cottage she had rented for her bridal party was so cute and full of life when I arrived. All the ladies were already in their robes, having their hair and makeup done. I had plenty of time to take her jewelry, shoes and dresses outside for some detail shots before she put her wedding gown on. Jade had two beautiful dresses! A formal wedding gown for the ceremony and a more comfortable, sequinned gown for the reception. Unfortunately, an approaching storm cancelled our plan for outdoor shots, but I was able to pull off a cute group picture of the ladies on the porch with their beautiful bouquets. I know Jade would not let a little rain ruin her big event. I hope all went as planned and I cannot wait to see shots from the wedding. I hope you enjoy these getting ready photos and there are plenty more on the way!
